Air India announces plans to reduce capacity through fleet changes

Air India announced the following plans to decrease capacity over the next two years, including (Mail Today/RTT, 15-Oct-2009):

• Deferral of six B777s by two years;
• Lease out seven aircraft, which may be increased to up to 40 aircraft;
• Return aircraft to lessors, as their leases expire.
