Air France-KLM pax down 3.2%, load factor improves in Jan-2010
Air France-KLM passenger numbers down 3.2% - traffic highlights in Jan-2010:
- Passenger numbers: 5.1 million, -3.2% year-on-year;
- Europe: 3.2 million, -4.4%;
- Trans-Atlantic: 661,000, -0.5%;
- Asia Pacific: 457,000, +1.0%;
- Africa/Middle East: 443,000, -2.2%;
- Caribbean/Indian Ocean: 287,000, -3.3%;
- Load factor: 78.0%, +1.4 ppt;
- Europe: 61.6%, +1.8 ppt;
- Trans-Atlantic: 83.8%, +3.5 ppts;
- Asia Pacific: 84.6%, +1.0 ppt;
- Africa/Middle East: 76.4%, +0.2 ppt;
- Caribbean/Indian Ocean: 80.6%, -3.0 ppts;
- Cargo traffic (FTks): +2.0%. [more]
Air France-KLM: "The cargo business benefited from an improved environment, with a slight increase in volumes (+0.6%), a 2.0% rise in traffic and an 11.4% reduction in capacity. The load factor gained 8.5 points to 64.3%. The Asia network saw a marked recovery both in terms of volumes and traffic.
