Air France-KLM passenger numbers up 6.1% in May-2011
Air France-KLM reports (08-Jun-2011) the following traffic highlights in May-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 6.6 million, +6.1% year-on-year;
- Europe: 4.6 million, +7.6%;
- America: 857,000, +6.9%;
- Asia Pacific: 470,000, +4.3%;
- Africa and Middle East: 390,000, -8.5%;
- Caribbean and Indian Ocean: 232,000, +5.5%;
- Passenger load factor: 79.8%, -0.7 ppt;
- Europe: 74.6%, +0.4 ppt;
- Americas: 86.1%, -0.3 ppt;
- Asia Pacific: 81.2%, -2.4 ppts;
- Africa and Middle East: 71.4%, -2.1 ppts;
- Caribbean and Indian Ocean: 78.5%, -0.1 ppt;
- Cargo traffic (FTKs): -1.4%;
- Cargo load factor: 67.8%, -2.9 ppts. [more]
Air France KLM: "In May 2011 traffic increased by 4.9% for capacity up by 5.9%, leading to a slight 0.7 point decline in load factor to 79.8%. The group carried 6.58 million passengers (+6.1%).
