Air France-KLM passenger numbers down 5%

Air France-KLM passenger numbers down 5% - traffic highlights in Oct-2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 6.3 million, -5.3% year-on-year;
  • Load factor: 82.5%, +1.3 ppt;
    • Europe: 72.1%, +1.3 ppt;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 88.9%, +3.5 ppts;
    • Asia Pacific: 87.4%, +0.5 ppt;
    • Africa/Middle East: 79%, -2.5 ppts;
    • Caribbean/Indian Ocean: 79.9%, +1.3 ppt. [more]

Air France-KLM: “In October, traffic once again declined less than capacity (-4.1% and -5.6% respectively) leading to a 1.3 point improvement in load factor to 82.5%. All the networks, apart from Africa and the Middle East, saw higher load factors. The group carried 6.3 million passengers (-5.3%).
