The West African Development Bank and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa recently arranged funding totalling over USD76 million for Air Côte d'Ivoire to acquire two A330-900neo aircraft, enabling the launch of long haul services to destinations such as New York and Paris1 2. The African Airlines Association has also been in discussions with the African Development Bank to create an aircraft financing facility for African airlines3 4.
