Air China pax up but cargo down 10% in Dec-2011; 48.7 million pax in 2011

Air China reports (12-Jan-2012) the following traffic highlights:

    • Passenger numbers: 3.6 million, +1.8% year-on-year;
      • Domestic: 2.9 million, +1.4%;
      • International: 525,100, +2.2%;
      • Regional: 147,600, +10.8%;
    • Passenger load factor: 76.9%, -0.8 ppt;
      • Domestic: 79.4%, -1.4 ppts;
      • International: 73.5%, -0.3 ppt;
      • Regional: 77.1%, +1.3 ppts;
    • Cargo volume: 96,286 tonnes, -10%;
    • Cargo load factor: 58.3%, -8.4 ppts;
  • 12 months ended Dec-2011:
    • Passenger numbers: 48.7 million, +5.3%;
      • Domestic: 40.3 million, +5.3%;
      • International: 6.6 million, +3.2%;
      • Regional: 1.8 million, +12%;
    • Passenger load factor: 81.8%, +1.5 ppts;
      • Domestic: 83.4%, +3.2 ppts;
      • International: 79.4%, -1.2 ppts;
      • Regional: 79.6%, +3.2 ppts;
    • Cargo volume: 1.1 million tonnes, +0.1%;
