Air China may take delivery of first of 57 B787s in Sep/Oct-2011

Air China is expected to take delivery of the first of 57 B787s on order in Sep/Oct-2011 (AvBuyer, 19-Jul-2010). The carrier last week stated it was "pressing ahead" with plans to introduce more widebody aircraft and talks are underway with Boeing and Airbus for an order, possibly including A350s and/or B787s. Meanwhile, Air China stated it will use bank loans and other financing tools to fund its order for 20 A320s, announced earlier this year, and 20 B737-800s, announced last month.
