Air China and China Eastern cut Beijing-Shanghai capacity

China's online travel booking website eLong reported Air China has cut its capacity on the Beijing-Shanghai sector by 24% year-on-year while China Eastern Airlines has cut its capacity on the lucrative sector by 39% in the first week, 30-Jun-2011 to 06-Jul-2011, since the opening of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail link (National Business Daily, 08-Jul-2011).
