Air Canada outlined a multi-year cabin renewal programme under which all mainline Boeing 737 MAX eight aircraft were due to transition to Air Canada Rouge through 2026, featuring a 12/18/147 cabin layout, and it planned a new Rouge crew base at Vancouver International Airport to support the move1. Executive VP Mark Galardo said on the 4Q2025 earnings call the MAX fleet was intended to be at Rouge by end-2026, subject to approvals2.
