Air Astana Group expanded its fleet significantly in 2024, adding eight aircraft and increasing the total fleet to 60 by early 2025, with expectations to reach 63 aircraft by the end of 20251. The group implemented a fleet simplification strategy by converting all Embraer pilots to Airbus, and it was in the final stages of acquiring a multi-pilot licence2. Additionally, Air Astana installed new simulators for cabin safety training at its Astana centre3.
