Air Astana declares B787 MoU "inactive"

Air Astana reportedly declared that the carrier's MoU with Boeing for three B787s, as well as three options, is now "inactive" and the carrier is looking at alternative options for its long-haul fleet (domain-b, 21-Oct-2009). There is "very little clarity" on B787 delivery dates, according to the carrier's President, Peter Foster. The B787s were originally scheduled for delivery in 2014/2015. Leases on Air Astana's two B767ERs are due to expire in 2012, and the carrier also operates four B757-200s.
