Qantas Airways reached an in-principle long haul enterprise agreement with the Australian and International Pilots Association and Australian Federation of Air Pilots via the Fair Work Commission, covering around 1700 Boeing 787, A330 and A380 pilots, while noting no immediate risk of industrial action despite a Protected Action Ballot Order being available to AIPA members.1 Earlier, AFAP said Qantas Group long haul pilots rejected a proposed agreement, with 66% voting against on a 95% participation rate, prompting a return to negotiations.2
