Aerothai adjusts fee calculation method

Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Co Ltd (Aerothai) will now charge carriers a traffic management fee in accordance with the distance of their flights from 01-Oct-2011. At present, they are charged similarly regardless of the distance. Aerothai is expected to see an overall increase in the fee by 10%. The carrier expects revenue of USD198 million (THB6 billion) in 2011 and USD231 million (THB7 billion) in 2012. Parts of the revenue increase are attributable to the higher number of flights, from 500,000 in 2011 which represents an 8-9% growth rate from 2010.
