Aeroports de Paris opens AC connecting building at Paris CDG, features large retail area

France's Aéroports de Paris opened (11-Apr-2012) the AC connecting building between terminals 2A and 2C at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport. The first step in a large renovation project, the 16,600sqm connecting building now links up the two terminals. The building, which has seen EUR71 million in investment, will ultimately handle more than 5 million passengers a year. Details include:

  • Passenger control: 14 police checkpoints (passport control) and 14 security checkpoints in a 3400sqm space;
  • Retail: The new facility has 2450sqm of commercial space, including the largest retail area ever opened at a Paris airport, with the 1300sqm space to be operated by AdP's JV with LS travel retail, Société de Distribution Aeroportuaire (SDA).[more - original PR]
