Aerolineas Argentinas reported an operating profit of USD20.2 million in 2024, its first operating profit since 2008, after cost reductions that included a 13% staffing cut and 1600 departures.1 2 It also told Argentina’s Ministry of Economy it would not require subsidies in 2025, the first year without Government support since its 2008 nationalisation.2 In 1Q2025 it posted a profit of ARS169.012 billion and reduced its workforce by 16%.3
