United Aircraft Corporation expected to begin Irkut MC-21 deliveries to Aeroflot in September 2025, with the aircraft configured for 175 seats1. However, Aeroflot Group director general Sergey Aleksandrovsky anticipated the deliveries to start in 4Q2025 and Sukhoi SJ100 deliveries from the end of 1Q2026, noting a delay in aircraft deliveries would result in handling four million fewer passengers in 20252. Aeroflot Group planned to operate Irkut MC-21 while subleasing Sukhoi SSJ100 aircraft3.
