Aegean Airlines revenue down 3% in 1H2010

Aegean Airlines revenue down 3% - preliminary financial highlights for the six months ended 30-Jun-2010:

  • Revenue: EUR267.4 million, -3% year-on-year;
  • Profit (loss) before tax: (EUR33.5 million), compared with a profit of EUR18.2 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR32.6 million), compared with a profit of EUR13.4 million in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 2.9 million, stable;
  • Domestic: 1.5 million, -11%;
  • International: 1.4 million, +18%;
  • Load factor: 64.8%, +4.2 ppts. [more]

Aegean Airlines: "We must focus on destinations where we maintain a competitive advantage either due to our new Airbus A320 fleet or due to our entry into the Star Alliance.
