ACS and Criteria have alternatives to CVC for Abertis buy-out

Abertis’ shareholders ACS and Criteria are in talks with two other parties who have shown interest in investing in the Spain-based highway, television and airport operator (Bloomberg, 09-Jul-2010). The two shareholders, which together hold about 55% of Abertis’ stock, are in talks with Luxembourg-based private equity firm CVC Capital Partners to carry out a leveraged buy-out of Abertis.
