ACI-LAC director general: Regional airports 'do not set charges capriciously'

ACI-LAC director general Rafael Echevarne, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Latin America & Caribbean, said (10-Sep-2025) that regional airports "do not set charges capriciously" and "operate in a regulated environment". He noted that in some cases, airport rates were set decades earlier and are not reflective of how travel in the region has changed.
