As of May-2024, 15 airports globally had achieved ACA Level 5, indicating net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and 70 new airports joined the ACA programme, bringing the total to 558 accredited airports worldwide. Collectively, accredited airports reduced 1.04 million tonnes of CO2e in the last year, with European airports representing a significant share of global ACA participation and progress1 2.
