AAPA airlines report 11.7% rise in Apr-2010 int'l pax numbers

Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) reports (21-May-2010) the following international traffic highlights for its member airlines in Apr-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 15.2 million, +11.7% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 78.4%, +5.6 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): +32.1%. [more]

AAPA: "Overall, traffic demand is now back to the levels seen before the recession. The outlook for the coming months remains broadly positive, supported by Asia's buoyant economic growth, although concerns remain over regional imbalances, as well as oil and currency volatility," Mr. Andrew Herdman, AAPA Director General.
