AAPA airlines passenger numbers up 5.4% in Sep-2011, cargo traffic down

Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) reports (27-Oct-2011) the following international traffic highlights for its member airlines in Sep-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 16 million, +5.4% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 77.3%, -1.1 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -6.5%;
  • Cargo load factor: 63.8%, -3.5 ppts. [more - original PR]

AAPA: "Notwithstanding the current challenges, and uncertainty about the global outlook, optimism about future growth opportunities remains positive for Asia Pacific carriers.
