Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport reported 42.5 million passengers in 2025 (+2.8%), with international traffic up 5.3% to 17.2 million, supported by new routes and security-lane openings at T1 and T2, alongside a development programme including a AUD200 million T2 upgrade and an integrated terminal expansion plan.1 Perth Airport set a record 17.5 million passengers in the 12 months to 30-Jun-2025 (+8.5%), with international up 18.3% to 5.1 million, underpinning plans for terminal expansion and a parallel runway.2 AAA urged Government reinvestment in border modernisation and extension of ACCC airline competition monitoring beyond 2026.3
