'2012 probably isn’t going to be any easier' than 2011: Cathay Pacific CEO

Cathay Pacific CEO John Slosar, in the Jan-2012 edition of CXWorld, stated "2012 probably isn't going to be any easier" than 2011, with 2012 shaping up to be another "challenging" year. He noted the "golden days of 2010 are long behind us now and it seems that we'll need to hunker down and ride our way through yet another series of threats to our business, particularly in the first half of the year". On a more positive note, the carrier is progressing with numerous product enhancements in 2012. The carrier will introduce its new Premium Economy Class cabin and long-haul Economy Class seats in Mar-2012, open the refurbished Level 7 Business Class lounge at The Wing at the end of Jan-2012 and add 19 new aircraft to its fleet. The carrier will also move to a new reservation system on the weekend of 11/12-Feb-2012.
