Wizz Air restarts its Kyiv base on June 17
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and a leading low-cost carrier in Ukraine, today has reopened its base at Kyiv International Airport and restarted flights from Ukraine to Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Greece and UK.
As passengers' and crew's safety remains Wizz Air's top priority, the airline has introduced a new protocol aimed at supporting physical distancing during boarding and enhanced cleanliness on board. As a part of the measures, Wizz Air asks passengers to handle bookings online where possible, including online check-in, baggage drop-off as well as opting in for contactless payment during onboard purchases.
Throughout the flight, cabin crew will be required to wear masks and gloves and will also distribute sanitising wipes to each passenger. Furthermore, the aircraft is thoroughly cleaned several times a day as usual and the entire aircraft is disinfected overnight. To summarize the new protocol, Wizz Air has released an explanatory video focusing on the main measures introduced, which can be viewed here.
