Wizz Air Celebrates 30 Million Passengers On Uk Routes With Massive One Day Sale*

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, is celebrating carrying 30 million passengers on its UK routes today, with 20% off* all flights to and from the UK. This massive one-day sale* means even greater savings for travellers between Central and Eastern Europe and the UK this summer. Discounted fares are available for booking now until midnight tonight at wizzair.com.

Wizz Air's first UK route, from Luton to Katowice, launched on 19 May, 2004. Today, the airline operates more than 450 routes in 38 countries. In the UK, Wizz Air flies from nine airports to 14 countries, and in the past six months has launched 13 new UK routes including services from London Gatwick to Bucharest, Doncaster to Cluj and Birmingham to Sofia. During the rest of the financial year WIZZ will grow its UK business by 15%. Contributing to this growth are the new services connecting London Luton with Suceava, capital of Bucovina region in Romania commencing on 19 August as well as capital of Bulgaria Sofia with Doncaster from 23 December. An increasing number of UK services is operated with WIZZ's brand new 230-seat Airbus A321 aircraft, the most efficient single-aisle aircraft currently flying.
