Viva Air Group announces distribution agreement with Amadeus

Low Cost Carriers (LCCs) are growing at a rapid pace in Latin America and the projections continue to look bright for them. Viva Air, which operates in Colombia and Peru, is one of the fastest growing LCCs in the region. To accelerate this growth, Viva Air has partnered with Amadeus to maximize sales through travel agencies and corporations signing its first ever distribution agreement.

Viva Air will make its domestic and international flights, as well as negotiated fares, bookable in all Amadeus points of sale first in Colombia, Peru and United States, and then reach other countries. Travel agents and corporate customers using Amadeus will have direct access to this information with total accuracy in the availability of their flights and seats, increasing the sale of Viva Air in these markets.

Viva Air will become the first low-cost carrier in Colombia to sign a distribution agreement, highlighting the importance of using all channels, thanks to the Amadeus Travel Platform , to increase exposure and market share for this growing airline.
