The impacts of Tropical Cyclone Debbie continue to affect flights in some parts of the north coast of Queensland, however Virgin Australia flights in and out of Townsville have resumed today, Wednesday 29 March 2017 as per the current flight schedule.

Virgin Australia is not operating any flights to or from Emerald, Hamilton Island, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah and Proserpine today, Wednesday 29 March 2017. A decision about flights in or out of Emerald, Hamilton Island, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah and Proserpine for tomorrow, Thursday 30 March 2017, will be provided by 5pm today.

Options are available for affected travellers holding a valid ticket for travel from Sunday 26 March 2017 through to Friday 31 March 2017 to be re-booked on an alternative service or hold a credit for use at a later date. Affected guests are encouraged to call our Guest Contact Centre on 13 67 89 to discuss these options.

Virgin Australia will continue to monitor the situation and further updates will be provided when available.
