Virgin Australia Introduce Fares For You
09-Aug-2016 Effective 7 September 2016, Virgin Australia will introduce a new fare structure to offer customers more choice, value and flexibility when booking a flight, enabling travellers to tailor their bookings to their individual travel needs.
Fares For You, will offer a range of fares across all domestic and international routes, the new fare structure will ensure that each Virgin Australia fare type features a consistent and more tailored product offering to provide a range of options, providing a simple message for you to convey and sell to your customers. Virgin Australia guests will continue to experience the award-winning service that is synonymous with the brand, but will have greater control over inclusions in their fare. All domestic passengers will enjoy complimentary food, baggage and entertainment on every flight regardless of the fare type they select.
Fares For You will replace the existing fare structure, offering a total of nine fare brands across our entire domestic and international routes for sale to your customers.
Economy fare types include:
- Getaway
- Elevate
- Freedom
Two additional Economy fare types will be available for Trans Tasman and Short Haul International:
- Go
- Go Plus
Business and Premium Economy fare types will include:
- Premium Saver
- Premium
- Business Saver
- Business
Existing and New Bookings
For guests who have purchased fares prior to 7 September 2016, existing fare rules will apply for travel and their first change and cancellation. For any subsequent changes, the new fare rules will apply. For any guests who purchase a fare from 7 September 2016 onwards, the new fare rules will apply.
Agents are advised to ticket any bookings by 23:59 (AEST) Tuesday 6 September 2016. Any existing bookings not ticketed by 23:59 (AEST) Tuesday 6 September 2016 will require repricing prior to ticketing to store the new fare basis code.
