The number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport in August 2013 rose by 2.2% year-on-year to 2,185,472.
Flight movements declined by 4.6%, while maximum take-off weight increased by 0.4%. Cargo traffic rose by 4.8%. The number of local passengers increased 1.9% during this same period. The number of transfer passengers using Vienna Airport in August 2013 was 2.6% higher than in August 2012.
Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe was a slight 0.4% lower than in August of the previous year. The number of passengers travelling to Western Europe grew by 3.3%, while the Middle East recorded an increase of 4.7% in August 2013
