Tourism Fiji: Expression Of Interest For Engagement With Public Relation Agencies

30-Aug-2017 In 2016, Fiji welcomed a record of 792,320 visitors. Australia is the leading market for visitor arrivals, accounting for almost half of Fiji's international holiday arrivals.

Tourism Fiji continues to deliver world-leading destination marketing and help travel sellers around the world understand the beauty and character of Fiji. Australian travelers to Fiji are concentrated from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and more recently Adelaide, with twice weekly direct flights commencing on 30 June 2017.

Tourism Fiji's Australian office is based in Sydney. The EOI will apply solely to efforts within Australia.

Scope of Work

Tourism Fiji is seeking EOI from Public Relations Agencies that can help it achieve its visitor targets and drive publicity for the destination.

Tourism Fiji will engage up to three designated Public Relations Agencies for an "agency of record" status allowing these selected pre-approved agencies to submit RFP's and creative pitches on a "per project basis".

The Agencies will work with an in-house Public Relations Manager on Public Relations Campaigns and ongoing media outreach.

The Public Relations Agency's assigned scope of work could include but not limited to the:
• coordination/facilitation of press events and/or media blitzes for broadcast
• print and online media
• the creation of original and unique campaigns to stimulate and maximize national and/or regional media attention
• tracking and compiling press coverage about Tourism Fiji on the assigned campaigns
• working with Tourism Fiji on any crisis management
• and creating media events/blitzes focused around various Tourism Fiji partners (for example, a campaign supporting Fiji Airways' new service to a particular city or a new partner resort property)

The Public Relations Agency's status would be engaged for a period of one year, with a provision for extension on a yearly basis.
Applicant Criteria
The company must have been in operation for a minimum of 5 years in designing media campaigns, both consumer and trade media, and have excellent relationships with editors and journalists from all types of Australian major media outlets including print, broadcast, travel trade, and online (with special expertise in Australian media). The bidder should be able to provide a well-qualified, dedicated servicing and creative team for undertaking the Fiji campaigns.

• Name of agency, full address, contact details, name of designation of the head of the organization, name of contact person
• Profile & track record of agency
• Profile of key members of the team including level of experience
• Award winning campaigns, if any
• Fees and examples of campaign costs
• Sampling of current and recent client list and testimonials
• Examples of travel trade campaigns

The costs of preparing the proposals are not reimbursable, and Tourism Fiji is not bound to accept any of the proposals submitted.

Fiji intends to process applications for this EOI no later than end of day AEST Friday September 22, 2017.
