The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in September 2018 reached 1.35 million visits

Abstraction

• The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in September 2018 increased by 8.11 percent compared to the number of visits in September 2017, from 1.25 million visits to 1.35 million visits. Meanwhile, when compared to August 2018, the number of foreign tourist visits in September 2018 decreased by 10.56 percent.
• Cumulatively (January - September 2018), the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 11.93 million visits, up 11.81 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2017 which amounted to 10.67 million visits.
• The hotel occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in September 2018 reached an average of 58.95 percent or an increase of 0.53 points compared to the September 2017 TPK which was recorded at 58.42 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the TPK in August 2018, the hotel TPK star rating in September 2018 decreased by 1.06 points.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at the star classification hotel during September 2018 was 1.97 days, no change compared to the conditions in September 2017.
