The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in May 2019 reached 1.26 million visits.

The number of foreign tourist arrivals or foreign tourists to Indonesia in May 2019 has increased by 1.10 percent compared to the number of visits in May 2018. Meanwhile, compared to April 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting in May 2019 decreased by 3.19 percent.

Cumulatively (January-May 2019), the number of visits to Indonesia reached 6.37 million visits, up 2.70 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2018 which amounted to 6.20 million visits.

The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in May 2019 reached an average of 43.53 percent, down 10.33 points compared to the

May 2018 TPK which was recorded at 53.86 percent. Similarly, when compared to the April 2019 TPK, the hotel TPK star rating in May 2019 decreased by 10.37 points.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in hotels star classification during May 2019 was recorded at 1.93 days, an increase of 0.09 points compared to the situation in May 2018.
