Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is one of Amadeus' first airline customers, and 2017 marked 30 years of partnership between the two companies. Today, Amadeus and the airline announce a renewal of their multi-year partnership, including a distribution agreement that guarantees SAS' travel agency partners continued access to the airline's full range of fares and prices through Amadeus.

Kati Andersson, VP Digital Sales & Distribution at SAS, said, "We are pleased to continue our successful partnership with Amadeus. Our travel agency partners, both business and leisure focused, remain a key part of our strategy to serve our customers through the channel of their choice."

Along with this commitment to the travel agency sector, the partnership will also see the airline renewing the full Altéa suite of solutions, including inventory, reservation, ticketing and departure control systems. Amadeus technology supports SAS strategic business priorities, allowing it to optimize several areas of the business including Passenger services, Revenue management and Payment.

"This agreement is a testament to the strong relationship we have built with SAS over the past 30 years, based on a common understanding, and supported by our advanced distribution and technology solutions. At Amadeus, we are continuously innovating to meet our customers' needs. We remain committed to working with SAS to deliver on both its operational efficiency and business strategy, today and in the future," commented Manuel Midon, Managing Director Northen and Western Europe, Airlines, Amadeus.
