Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is proud to announce non-stop service on Frontier Airlines to Austin, Texas, a brand new destination never before served by RNO.

The new service in Reno will operate beginning April 10, 2018, and will run two times a week between Reno and Austin on Tuesdays and Fridays, on an Airbus 320 with 180 seats. The flight will depart Reno at 5:07 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 10:16 p.m. (Central Time). It will depart Austin at 2:39 p.m. and arrive in Reno at 4:17 p.m. Frontier is offering low introductory fares as low as $49 each way.

"We've heard that you want more non-stop access to the Lone Star State," said Marily Mora, President and CEO of Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. "We're pleased to now serve Dallas-Fort Worth, Dallas Love Field, Houston seasonally, and now Austin, in the heart of Texas Hill Country."

As the airport continues to see passenger growth and more flights, airlines are noticing. This is the second new destination Frontier Airlines has scheduled from Reno in the past six months, and the eighth new non-stop route from RNO in the past two years.

The state capitol, Austin is known as a youthful, diverse, eclectic city. It bills itself as the Live Music Capital of the World and enjoys mild weather year round. It's also considered a major hub for high tech business.

Frontier also announced that on April 9 they will add another day of service, four days a week from Reno to Denver, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

In 2017, RNO served just over 4 million passengers. To take advantage of Frontier's great low, $49 introductory fare to Austin, visit www.renoairport.com and click on the Flight Info tab.
