Queenstown Airport monthly passenger traffic report - September 2019

The total number of passengers travelling through the terminal increased by 6% compared with September 2018 to 188,904 passengers.

• Domestic traffic was on par with last year at 123,042 passenger movements
• International traffic was up 19% on last year to 65,862, largely due to the continued effect of Air New Zealand and Virgin operating separate Melbourne and Brisbane services (post separation of their code share arrangement on these routes).
• The 12-month passenger numbers reached 2,362,284 million, up 8% compared to the previous 12 months.
• The main events during September were the second week of the Winter Games NZ, the end of Winter Pride and locals heading out of town for concerts by Fleetwood Mac and Hugh Jackman.
