On the day the Queensland border has reopened to all of New South Wales, Virgin Australia has dropped a massive sales blitz, with more than 1.9 million domestic economy fares from just $75, and increased services between Sydney and some of the Sunshine State's most popular travel destinations.

Let The Good Times Fly sale fares are available to book at virginaustralia.com until midnight AEST Monday 8 February 2021, or until sold out. All fares include checked baggage, seat selection and

Velocity Frequent Flyer points.

Virgin Australia is proud to be offering over 1.9 million discounted airfares from just $75 from today to get Aussies back in the sky," they said.

"We're committed to providing travellers great value fares and award-winning service and our Let The Good Times Fly sale is a true testament of that.

"The reopening of borders provides Australian travellers with another opportunity to go on a holiday, reconnect with loved ones, and to conduct business.

"Open borders also means more jobs for our people, and we want to get as many of our stood down crew back to work as soon as possible, and so we're doing everything in our power to get Australians travelling again, and that starts with a great value fare that includes baggage, seat selection and Velocity Frequent Flyer points.

"From today, we have commenced additional services between Sydney and popular Queensland destinations such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Hamilton Island and Brisbane and we have also increased our services between Sydney and Melbourne. We will continue to review travel demand and our network schedule to meet the needs of our customers," they said.

Commenting on Virgin Australia's flexible booking policy, the spokesperson said: "We're committed to our guests during these uncertain times and we're proud to offer flexibility for travel until 30 June 2021.

"We've seen many traveller's plans impacted by domestic border restrictions and so we're here to give them comfort when booking a Virgin Australia flight that they'll be able to change the date of their travel if they need to."

The Virgin Australia Let The Good Times Fly sale ends midnight AEST Monday 8 February 2021 with fares for select travel dates and destinations between March and September 2021.

The sale coincides with the reopening of the Queensland border with all of New South Wales and follows the Federal Government's $5 million marketing push to inspire Australians to take a domestic holiday.
