The Comprehensive Air-Services Agreement with the EU…Was at the top of the agenda of 4th Consultative Meeting held between Qatar and the European Union
The negotiations round of 4th Consultative Meeting in air transport field was concluded in Doha . The meeting, which lasted for two days, from 18th: 19th April, was held between Qatar and the EU.
The delegation of Qatar was headed by His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority. The delegation also included representatives of Qatar Airways, headed by H.E Mr. Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, as well as a number of specialists and experts in various fields of civil aviation.
On the other hand, the European delegation was headed by Mr. Carlos Acosta, Director of Air Transport International Relations in the European Union, as well as several representatives of the European Union countries and representatives of European Airlines, in order to discuss comprehensive air services agreement with the EU countries. Such agreement organizes all aspects of air services and air transport rights that relate Qatar with EU countries. Such rights were previously discussed during the previous rounds between the two parties.
The meeting also discussed the most important topics related to aviation safety, navigation, environment and aviation security in Qatar and the European Union
