Qatar Airways And China Southern Airlines Announce Codeshare Agreement
Agreement is the first step in the strengthening of cooperation between both airlines
Qatar Airways is pleased to announce codeshare cooperation with China Southern Airlines starting from January 2020*. This codeshare agreement is the first step in the strengthening of cooperation between both airlines, since Qatar Airways acquired 5 per cent of China Southern Airlines in December 2018.
This agreement will enable China Southern Airlines' passengers to book travel on Qatar Airways' flights between Guangzhou and Doha and Beijing and Doha allowing one stop connections to more than 80 destinations in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Qatar Airways first began flying to China in 2003 with a service from Doha to Shanghai. Qatar Airways currently operates 45 weekly flights to seven Greater China gateways: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu and Hong Kong. In May 2018, Qatar Airways' award-winning Qsuite Business Class experience debuted in China on the Shanghai route with Beijing receiving Qsuite in December 2018.

China Southern Airlines Senior Vice President of International and Corporate Relations, Mr. Wu Guoxiang said: "We are very pleased to have Qatar Airways as our codeshare partner. Through the efficient Hamad International Airport, with its first rate service, passengers of China Southern Airlines will be able to enjoy the pleasant service to Doha. A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named 'World's Best Airline' by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named 'Best Airline in the Middle East', 'World's Best Business Class' and 'Best Business Class Seat', in recognition of its ground-breaking Business Class experience, Qsuite. Qatar Airways is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted "Skytrax Airline of the Year" title, which is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, five times.
Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 250 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA) to more than 160 destinations worldwide. The airline has recently launched an array of exciting new destinations, including Rabat, Morocco; Izmir, Turkey; Malta; Davao, Philippines; Lisbon, Portugal; and Mogadishu, Somalia. The airline will add Langkawi, Malaysia and Gaborone, Botswana, to its extensive route network in October 2019 with Luanda, Angola; and Osaka, Japan, following in 2020.

الاتفاقية الجديدة تعد الخطوة الأولى ضمن سلسلة من الخطوات الرامية إلى تعزيز التعاون بين الناقلتين
الدوحة، قطر - يسرّ الخطوط الجوية القطرية الإعلان عن إبرام اتفاقية الرمز المشترك مع خطوط جنوب الصين الجوية اعتباراً من شهر يناير لعام 2020*. وتعد هذه الاتفاقية الخطوة الأولى ضمن سلسلة من الخطوات الرامية إلى تعزيز التعاون بين الناقلتين، حيث استحوذت الناقلة القطرية في شهر ديسمبر لعام 2018 على حصة بقيمة 5% من خطوط جنوب الصين الجوية.
وسوف تتيح هذه الاتفاقية الفرصة أمام المسافرين مع خطوط جنوب الصين الجوية من حجز رحلات مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية بين جوانزو والدوحة، وبكين والدوحة، ممكنة إياهم من السفر إلى أكثر من 80 وجهة في الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا وأفريقيا عبر توقف واحد فقط في الدوحة.
ودشنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية رحلاتها إلى الصين في عام 2003 مع إطلاقها لرحلات مباشرة من الدوحة إلى شنغهاي. وتسيّر الناقلة حالياً 45 رحلة أسبوعياً إلى سبع وجهات في الصين، وهي شنغهاي وبكين وجوانزو وهانغتشو وتشونغتشينغ وتشنغدو وهونج كونج. وفي عام 2018، أصبحت مقاعد كيو سويت على درجة رجال الأعمال متاحة للمسافرين من وإلى شنغهاي وبكين.
وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: "في شهر ديسمبر لعام 2018 عندما أعلنا عن إنجاز استثمار في خطوط جنوب الصين الجوية، كان من الواضح بأن هنالك فرص كبيرة للتعاون بين الناقلتين. وتأتي اتفاقية الرمز المشترك هذه كتطور طبيعي للروابط التي تجمعنا من أجل العمل معاً والاستفادة من الموارد والإمكانيات التي نمتلكها بما يعود بالنفع على المسافرين. وتتطلع الخطوط الجوية القطرية إلى هذه الفرصة لتعزيز علاقاتها مع شركات الطيران الكبرى وتقديم أفضل تجربة سفر لجميع المسافرين حول العالم".

وحازت الخطوط الجوية القطرية على جائزة أفضل شركة طيران في العالم خلال حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية 2019. كما حصدت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر جائزة أفضل شركة طيران في الشرق الأوسط وجائزة أفضل درجة رجال أعمال في العالم وجائزة أفضل مقعد على درجة رجال الأعمال عن مقاعد كيو سويت. وأصبحت الناقلة القطرية شركة الطيران الوحيدة التي تفوز بجائزة أفضل شركة طيران في العالم خمس مرات.
وتشغّل الخطوط الجوية القطرية، إحدى أسرع شركات الطيران نمواً في العالم، أسطول طائرات حديث يضم أكثر من 250 طائرة تتجه إلى أكثر من 160 وجهة عالمية عبر مقر عملياتها في مطار حمد الدولي. وأطلقت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر رحلاتها مؤخراً إلى كل من الرباط في المغرب، وإزمير في تركيا، ومالطا، ودافاو في الفلبين، ولشبونة في البرتغال، ومقديشو في الصومال؛ فيما ستدشّن رحلاتها إلى لنكاوي في ماليزيا وغابورون في بوتسوانا في شهر أكتوبر لعام 2019، وإلى لواندا في أنجولا في شهر مارس لعام 2020، وأوساكا في اليابان في ذات العام.
