Direct News Source

30-Oct-2017 Our new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will operate on select domestic flights between Melbourne, Perth and Sydney from this Wednesday 1 November to Thursday 14 December.*

The six-week schedule will allow our pilots, cabin crew and ground operations teams to become familiar with the aircraft, and give domestic travellers a chance to experience the Dreamliner before it commences Melbourne-Los Angeles QF95/QF96 services from 15 December.

The Boeing 787-9 has been scheduled to fly domestic routes usually operated by the Airbus A330, including Melbourne and Perth which will serve as hubs for the Dreamliner's flights to Los Angeles and London.

The Dreamliner will operate its first Melbourne-Perth return service this week, departing Wednesday 1 Nov, and returning to Melbourne on Thursday 2 Nov.

• QF481 Melbourne-Perth (5.40pm-6.50pm)
• QF762 Perth-Melbourne (8.00am-2.35pm)

Then from 3 Nov to 14 Dec, customers can travel on the Dreamliner on Monday to Friday on the following flights:

• QF460 Melbourne-Sydney (6.30pm-7.55pm)
