Perth Airport and Alliance Airlines: Pricing deal great news for the resources sector

Today Perth Airport and Alliance Airlines ("Alliance") announced the signing of a new seven-year terminal pricing agreement that will provide significant savings to clients utilising Terminal 2. Alliance is the first airline to sign the new seven-year agreement with Perth Airport.

Perth Airport has been in negotiations with all airlines to secure new seven-year agreements on pricing and service levels. In an Australian first, this process has been conducted in an open and transparent manner through a publicly-accessible data room.

The Perth Airport-Alliance agreement will see the airline continue operating out of Terminal 2, which was built specifically for regional flights.

Perth Airport CEO, Kevin Brown, said the airport was committed to working with its airline customers to deliver good economic outcomes for Western Australia.

"This agreement comes at a great time for Western Australia as confidence continues to return to the resources sector."

"This new agreement will assist in delivering real benefits to Alliance and their customers and will aid in the further growth of the resources sector in Western Australia," Mr Brown said.

Alliance Airlines CEO, Lee Schofield, said "Alliance is delighted to be the first airline to sign the new agreement with Perth Airport. This new agreement will result in a reduction of terminal fees which will be passed on to our customers."
