APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT ADVISER IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED SELECTIVE CAPITAL REDUCTION AND REPAYMENT EXERCISE PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 60 AND 64 OF THE COMPANIES ACT, 1965 ("ACT") ("PROPOSED SCR")
We refer to the announcement dated 8 August 2014 in relation to the Proposed SCR.
On behalf of the board of directors of MAS ("Board"), CIMB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that, the Board, save for Tan Sri Md Nor bin Md Yusof and Mohd Shahazwan bin Mohd Harris, who have abstained from deliberating and voting on the Proposed SCR, has confirmed the proposal to appoint AmInvestment Bank Berhad as the Independent Adviser to advise the non-interested shareholders and the non-interested directors of MAS in connection with the Proposed SCR.
