November 2021 Korea Tourism Statistics Announcement

[Foreign tourists visiting Korea]
□ In November, 94,358 people entered Korea, a 52.8% increase from the same month of the previous year (61,764 people) due to the base effect of Corona 19
China: Continue to ban in- and outbound group travel and airtel sales, but an increase of 35.9% compared to the same month of the previous year
Japan: Restrictions on entry/exit of visitors for tourism purposes between the two countries continue, but an increase of 29.4% compared to the same month of the previous year
○ Asia and the Middle East (excluding China and Japan) increased by 42.0% compared to the same month of the previous year
- Taiwan: Banned indefinitely Extension continued, up 25.4% from the same month of the previous year
- Hong Kong: Most flights were suspended and outbound demand continued, but increased by 33.7% compared to the same month of the previous year
- Other Asia and Middle East: Movement restriction orders and visa issuance regulations continued, but 42.3% from the same month of the previous year Increase
○ Gumi/Others: Overseas travel restrictions continued, but increased by 69.6% compared to the same month of the previous year

□ In November, 147,907 people departed, up 109.2% from the same month of the previous year (70,686 people)
