Norfolk Island schedule update

Flights from Sydney and Brisbane to Norfolk Island have been adjusted for travel between 25 October 2020 and 27 March 2021.During this time, the following weekly schedule will operate:

  • SYD - NLK on a Friday
  • NLK - SYD on a Saturday
  • BNE - NLK on a Saturday
  • NLK - BNE on a Friday

Where possible, Air New Zealand will re-accommodate affected customers to the nearest available flight.

Below are the options for your customers affected by these cancellations:

Hold their ticket in credit:

  • As per the COVID-19 credit policy, found here

Change their flight:

  • The change must be actioned before the original date of travel.
  • One change is permitted with the change fee waived; change is permitted within the system range.
  • For travel on Air New Zealand operated flights, no additional collection applies. Book the same or next best available booking class in the same cabin and/or product type. If the change requires a requote or a reissue any additional taxes must be collected.
  • For travel on other airlines, the same booking class originally booked must be rebooked, if this is not available please contact Agency Sales.

Norfolk Island Entry Pass

A reminder that a Norfolk Island Entry Pass is now compulsory for all passengers travelling to Norfolk Island.

In response to COVID-19, travel to Norfolk Island is restricted to domestic Australian passengers who identify as low-risk travellers. Air New Zealand has been advised that every person intending to travel to Norfolk Island must complete and obtain an online Entry Pass, with the requirement that all travellers submit their application 24 to 72 hours before their flight departure. This is at the request of the Norfolk Island Regional Council.

The application is an automated process designed to screen applicants via an online declaration. Any travellers identified as high-risk travellers who will be denied entry into Norfolk Island.
