Moscow Domodedovo Airport: results for September and the nine months 2013

09-Oct-2013 According to results for September 2013, passenger traffic increased by 10.6% compared to September 2012 and amounted to 3.18 million travellers. The overall flights number grew by 4.0% and totaled 24.7 thousand takeoff and landing operations.

The largest passenger traffic growth in September recorded in international passenger traffic adding 12.0% to September 2012, reaching 1.935 million passengers.

Passenger traffic on domestic airlines in September 2013 grew by 8.5% compared to last year and amounted to 1.245 million travelers.

Domodedovo freight traffic for the first month of autumn reached 17.2 thousand tons.

According to January-September of 2013 results, Moscow Domodedovo Airport passenger traffic amounted to 24.0 million people and increased by 11.2% compared with the same period in 2012. Flights number grew by 4.4% and amounted to 199.3 thousand takeoff and landing operations.

January-September 2013 passenger traffic results on domestic routes totaled 9.54 million passengers that 9.0% higher than for the same period of the last year. The utmost growth recorded on the following internal directions: Rostov-on-Don, Makhachkala, Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar and Saratov. Passenger traffic on these directions reached 2.23 million people, that 25.0% higher than for the same period of the last year.

International passenger traffic for January-September of the current year totaled 14.46 million people (+12,6% to January-September 2012). The highest growth was recorded on the following international routes: Antalya, Hurghada, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Larnaca, Barcelona. In January-September of 2013 2.50 million passengers were transported to the mentioned directions, that is by 45.1% higher compared to equal period of 2012.

Domodedovo airport freight traffic for nine months of 2013 increased by 2.6% compared to the same period of 2012 year and totaled 144.4 thousand tons.
