American Airlines to Add Larger Planes for Memphis-Washington, D.C. Flights
More Memphis International Airport (MEM) passengers will soon be able to fly to and from Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport (DCA) thanks to the addition of larger aircraft by American Airlines.
Beginning June 7, all American Airlines flights to DCA will utilize 76-seat Embraer 175 planes. Previously, the airline used 50-seat aircraft for some of its DCA routes. American currently offers three daily weekday flights to DCA and one frequency per day on Saturday. The larger aircraft will provide customers two-class service, onboard Wi-Fi and add 221 seats per week in capacity between Memphis and Washington, D.C.American Airlines serves eight cities out of MEM, with flights to Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, and Phoenix, as well as Washington, D.C.
