MEA Flight Schedule from 1 till 22 July

Reference to the statement issued by Middle East Airlines - Lebanese Airlines on 23 June 2020, MEA would like to clarify the following:

Arab and foreign travelers are allowed to enter Lebanon in accordance with the rules and regulations applied by the Lebanese General Security prior to the closure of the airport due to Covid19.

Syrians connecting by surface to Syria are not allowed due to land border closure.

PCR countries:

Middle East: Amman - Cairo
Gulf: Abu Dhabi - Dammam - Dubai - Jeddah - Medina - Riyadh
Europe: Athens - Brussels - Frankfurt - Geneva - Larnaca - London - Paris
Africa: Accra-Lagos

Non-PCR countries:

Middle East: Baghdad - Basra - Najaf - Erbil
Arabian Gulf: Doha - Kuwait
Europe: Istanbul - Madrid - Copenhagen - Yerevan - Milan - Rome
Africa: Abidjan

PCR countries procedure:

Travelers arriving in Lebanon from countries where PCR Test is available, except for children under five years of age, shall undergo such a test at certified lab by local authorities latest 96 hours or D-4 prior to departure of their trip and show the result at check-in before proceeding to immigration. If the test result is positive, the passenger in question is prohibited from boarding the aircraft.

Upon arrival at Rafik Hariri International Airport, passengers on board Middle East Airlines, will undergo another PCR test, at MEA's expense, and must adhere to the home quarantine until receiving the result of the new test conducted at the airport (between 24 hours to 48 hours) via text message with an electronic copy. Worth noting that this test will not be charged to passengers and will not be added to the cost of the ticket.

Exceptions:
- Passengers can travel to Lebanon on board Middle East Airlines without a PCR test from countries where PCR is available if they are transit passengers through other countries where the test is not available.
- Passengers who have left Lebanon and returned within a period of one week are allowed not to undergo PCR test in the countries from which they wish to return, even if they are from countries where PCR test is available. (For example: Departure on Friday, July 17, Return on Friday, July 24)

NON-PCR countries procedure:

Middle East Airlines passengers arriving from non-PCR countries, will undergo a first PCR test at the expense of Middle East Airlines upon arrival at Rafik Hariri International Airport -Beirut, excluding children under five years of age. Passengers will have to take a second test after 72 hours at their own expense at an accredited laboratory in accordance with the instructions of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and must adhere to the quarantine until the result of the new PCR test is issued via text message along with an electronic copy.

- For passengers traveling from countries where PCR Test is not available for all, and who have conducted the PCR test there within 96 hours prior to their trip to Lebanon and the result was negative, it is possible to be exempted from another PCR test 72 hours after their arrival in Lebanon, according to the decision of the Ministry of Public Health Medical Team at the airport.

Positive results

If any positive result appears to the passengers who arrive to Lebanon, they must follow the directives of the Ministry of Public Health until they recover according to the approved medical protocol.

All Passengers Traveling to Lebanon

-Any passenger who shows symptoms of illness including covid-19, will not be allowed to board the aircraft.

-All passengers traveling to Lebanon must fill health declaration form online before departure. (link: https://arcg.is/0GaDnG)

-Passengers travelling to Lebanon, except military personnel, diplomats, members of international organizations, UNIFIL and members of the Lebanese National Social Security Fund or staff cooperative, need to possess an insurance policy that is valid for the duration of their stay in Lebanon, covering all costs of treatment for Coronavirus on Lebanese Territory or they can obtain this policy through the following website www.covid19travelcare.com/web , or at the insurance counters upon their arrival at Rafik Hariri International Airport-Beirut.

-Passengers shall follow the Ministry of Public Health directives

All Passengers Traveling from Lebanon

-Passengers are requested to comply with all travel laws, regulations and requirements, at their own responsibility, including entry/exit rules in and out of the countries to which they intend to travel, as they are subject to change at any time due to current circumstances.

Few examples regarding travelling from Lebanon to:

- Turkey: Final date for accepting entry of Lebanese travelers is not set yet.

- Greece: Must fill the health form online https://travel.gov.gr/#/ at least 48 hours prior to the date of travel. If approved, QR Code will be sent to the passenger and must be presented at the airport upon departure and arrival.

- Cyprus: PCR test must be carried out 72 hours prior to the date of travel and the passenger must show the result of the PCR test at check in counters before passing to the Immigration and upon arrival. The traveler is not subject to mandatory quarantine.

- Cairo: Passenger must fill out the health form available at the Check in Counters. A valid health insurance is required for non-Egyptians.

- Dubai: As of July 7th, PCR test must be performed upon arrival. As for quarantine, its conditions vary between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

- Europe: Passengers holding Schengen Visa Type C, the majority of whom are Lebanese, will not be allowed to enter most of the EU countries. These conditions are subject to constant modifications.

How to book MEA Tickets:

All passengers traveling from Lebanon can book and buy their tickets through;

- Lebanese Travel Agencies: Payment can be made with a local credit card or bank cheque in U.S. Dollars.

- MEA's website www.mea.com.lb or MEA Call Center through an International Credit Card.

Passenger is responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, travel requirements including entry/exit rules from countries flown from or to.
