Lufthansa activates special flight schedule for Thursday and Friday.

The Independent Flight Attendant Organization (Ufo) has called for full-day strike action at Lufthansa on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8. Between 13:00 and 15:00, Lufthansa will activate a special flight schedule , which is available at www.lufthansa.com . Passengers can then inform themselves by entering their flight number on the website about the status of their flight. Lufthansa regrets the inconvenience for the passengers.

On Thursday, 7th of November, about 3,300 planned Lufthansa Group flights will be carried out. On Friday, 8 November, 2,400 Lufthansa Group flights will take place. The strike call will affect some 180,000 passengers out of a total of around 1,300 flight cancellations.

Eurowings, Germanwings, Sunexpress, Lufthansa Cityline, SWISS, Edelweiss, Austrian Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Brussels Airlines will not go on strike. Your flights will be scheduled. It is currently being examined on which routes these airlines can use larger aircraft in order to be able to offer alternative travel options to passengers affected by the strike.

Irrespective of whether or not your flight is affected by a flight cancellation, all passengers of the Lufthansa Group who booked a flight to / from or via Frankfurt and Munich on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, can do so from now on One-time free transfer to a Lufthansa Group flight within the next ten days.

On German domestic routes passengers can use the Deutsche Bahn, also regardless of whether their flight was canceled. For this purpose passengers can convert their ticket under "my bookings" on www.lufthansa.com into a ticket of the German course. The journey to the airport is not necessary. Seat reservation is recommended.

Lufthansa passengers are requested to inform themselves about the status of their flight at www.lufthansa.com prior to departure. Passengers who have provided the corresponding contact information will be actively informed by SMS or e-mail about changes. The contact details can be entered, viewed or changed at any time via www.lufthansa.com under "My bookings". In addition, passengers can be informed automatically via Facebook Messenger about status changes of their flight.
