Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation signed a contract with Obermeyer Middle East GmbH to deliver Project management services for implementing the 2012 Master Plan projects at Kuwait international Airport. (KWI)

The contract was co-signed by H.E. Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, the DGCA Chairman, and Dr. Ioannis Kiru the Managing Director of Obermeyer Middle East, during a ceremony attended by the German ambassador to Kuwait, Mr. Maximilian Grauvogl, owner of Obermeyer Group, Mr. Spiridon Murr Operation Director and Mr. Marwan Keyrouz Head of Business Development.

Obermeyer Middle East will manage the ongoing and planned ventures under way at the Kuwait airport.

Keyrouz told Meed that the contract, valid for five years, envisages management of current and planned ventures, such as building the third runway and a new observation post. Moreover, it envisions plans for executing future projects for the airport, such as overhauling the western runway, building three others in the future, two observation towers, five passenger
terminals after finishing the T-2 terminal.

OBERMEYER Middle East will also support the upgrade of work procedures for airport management, and technical guidelines for aviation operations.
