Kudos Travel Technology - ATPCO Partnership marks new milestone for safer air travel

Brisbane-based Kudos Travel Technology has entered into a strategic partnership with ATPCO in a move that will benefit the global air travel eco-system.

At a time when air passengers are understandably concerned about their health and safety, Kudos' sophisticated travel platform gives corporations and travel agencies unprecedented transparency and control into their view of bookings, systems and processes. Now, its partnership with ATPCO allows the future-oriented company to better assist with the shift in demands from passengers amid the global health crisis.

With more than one million flights canceled globally in response to COVID-19-related travel restrictions, ATPCO created Reassurance UPAs (Universal Product Attributes) to describe real-time, health and safety measures airlines are taking to protect flyers. Categories include, mask requirements, flexible booking, air circulation, cabin cleaning and cover over 90 percent of the global flight schedule. It helps travellers compare how different airlines are approaching their health and safety standards, raising travellers' confidence in their purchases.

Under the newly announced partnership, Kudos Travel Technology has also been accepted into ATPCO's exclusive Bridge Labs Program. This will see the industry leading technology company gain early access to the latest APIs being developed by ATPCO in collaboration with airlines to help rebuild confidence in the global travel space.

By integrating ATPCO's Routehappy Rich Content, specifically Reassurance UPAs, Kudos has further enhanced the experience of air travel by providing relevant information on the latest airline health and safety initiatives. The simple yet functional design provided within the Kudos Platform will see the placement of a COVID-19 feature next to all participating airlines in the ATPCO database. Kudos is also integrating these products on codeshare flights, those sold by one carrier but operated by another, so consumers will have greater comfort and transparency.

"We view this step in our professional collaboration with ATPCO as a tremendous milestone in Kudos' journey that will see us help more travellers worldwide." Phil Rasmussen, Managing Director of Kudos Travel Technology, said.

"We're inspired by ATPCO's vision to provide accurate, relevant, and influential information about airline COVID-19 initiatives to help ease travel concerns. Through open collaboration with ATPCO's Retailing team, Kudos found innovative ways to incorporate Reassurance UPAs across our entire platform, spanning pre-trip approvals, itineraries, traveller tracking, and even voice-based requests via our natural language tool Zeus."

The newly announced partnership will enable them to continue to develop solutions that benefit the travel industry in times of rapid change and in response to the challenge that COVID-19 presents.

"Consumers and agents want to understand measures airlines are taking to keep passengers protected when they fly, airlines want their health and safety products accurately reflected no matter where its flight is being sold and channels and systems want up-to-date and relevant safety protocols delivered quickly via API - Reassurance UPAs solves this for all parties," said Evaline Gamage, Sr Manager Sales Channel Retailing at ATPCO. Kudos' innovative integration of Routehappy UPAs across their platform is a win-win-win for all involved."
